MEP - A Media Event Platform
نویسندگان
چکیده
Popular media events of today are likely to attract a big, live audience. Being part of a huge cricket audience, for example, knowing that the event is broadcast to perhaps millions of people, is a truly arousing experience. But the size of the audience and the complexity of events do not come without drawbacks. Spectators find it difficult to be at the right spot at the right time and to grasp the essentials of the on goings. We introduce a Media Event Platform, which combines various sources of event crucial information and lets the mobile user choose from a number of different channels; WAP-phones, web browsers, digital radio, etc. This paper adds to the existing body of research by offering a novel multi channel system design for boosting event experience and provides an early example of how mobile technology influences converging media forms.

Anatomical Anomalies of Eustachean Tube and Its Role in the Development of Otitis Media with Effusion
Although many years have passed from the recognition of otitis media with effusion (OME), there is much controversy on its etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment strategies. This condition occurs more frequently in infants and children. Moreover, it is more common in Eskimo and Native American than White American and Blacks. In addition, socioeconomic and cultural factors can affect its prevalen...
متن کاملPROBA-V Mission Exploitation Platform
As an extension of the PROBA-Vegetation (PROBA-V) user segment, the European Space Agency (ESA), de Vlaamse Instelling voor Technologisch Onderzoek (VITO), and partners TRASYS and Spacebel developed an operational Mission Exploitation Platform (MEP) to drastically improve the exploitation of the PROBA-V Earth Observation (EO) data archive, the archive from the historical SPOT-VEGETATION mission...
متن کاملThe Macro - Event Property and the Layered Structure of the Clause
1. Introduction Typological research has uncovered a surprising amount of variation in which parts of a complex motion event (Bohnemeyer et al 2007) or causal chain (Bohnemeyer et al 2010) can be described as a single event across the languages of the world. The intuitive property of presenting a scenario as a " single event " has been operationalized in these studies in terms of the Macro Even...
متن کاملProbability Density for Number of Customers Served During the Busy Period of a Finite Auto-Correlated MEP/MEP/1 Queue or Probability Density for Services During the Busy Period of a Finite Auto-Correlated MEP/MEP/1 Queue
In this paper we study the sample paths during a busy period of a Finite MEP/MEP/1 system, where both the arrivals and service processes can be serially auto-correlated Matrix Exponential Processes and provide a mechanism to compute the expected number of customers served during a finite queue’s busy period. We then show some numeric results by computing the probabilities of serving exactly n c...
متن کاملBackward Error, Condition Numbers, and Pseudospectrum for the Multiparameter Eigenvalue Problem
We define and evaluate the normwise backward error and condition numbers for the multiparameter eigenvalue problem (MEP). The pseudospectrum for the MEP is defined and characterized. We show that the distance from a right definite MEP to the closest non right definite MEP is related to the smallest unbounded pseudospectrum. Some numerical results are given.
